Still catching up

Still trying to get caught up with everything. Things got so busy just out of the blue a few weeks ago, both at work and at home, and it is taking me so long to get caught back up with everything.

Wednesday night Joe and I went on our date night. We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest It was pretty good. A little too far-fetched for me, but it was still okay. Joe was a little disappointed, he thought it was going to be really good and it wasn't as good as he expected. But we both enjoyed it anyway. We also recently tried to take the boys to see Cars, but poor Joe ended up having to spend most of the movie out in the lobby with Adam, because he was too loud in the theater. But Brendan and I saw the whole thing, and I really enjoyed it. Very good movie. The movie theater even refunded Joe's ticket price since he spent 3/4 of the movie in the lobby!

This weekend we actually don't have a bunch of plans! It's been awhile since that's happened. Joe is going to try to fix some things on my SUV, since there are several things that need fixed (or at least looked at) before I drive to Gatlinburg,TN in August! I have to go into work for a couple hours Sunday, but otherwise it'll mostly be a hanging out around the house kind of weekend. It's just going to be too hot and humid to do much of anything else.

Whenever I'm on a cruise (once a year if I'm lucky) or at the beach (never, ever, if I'm lucky) or somewhere else where people read boooks, I always interrupt them and say, "Oh, blah-blah-blah (whatever the title is), I loved that book. I loved the part at the end when they were all eaten by pirates." Well the person is usually having convulsions by the time I get to the "eaten by pirates" part, and then we all have a good laugh.

Well damn, with a movie about pirates, I may just have to say to people in line at the cinema, "I loved the part at the end when they were all eaten by rhinoceroses." Just please tell me there are no rhinoceroses in this movie.
