You know, it is still beautiful even as dried up as it is. How wonderful that it is in your own back yard. Did he find any tracks?

My WW is up!

Oh, we have one even MORE dried up than that! Ours has NO water in it! We're supposed to get some rain this week though --- I hope!

I hear ya on the rain. I pray you guys get some.

I'm sure he has to enjoy finding all sorts of things in that creek. And deer tracks? BTW, handsome young man you've got there.

We need the rain too! I think it has not rained for over a month here... cracks have developed in spots spots in our backyard!

We desperately need rain in VA, too. The last time it really rained (more than a trace) was back in June--when our basement flooded.

It's really dry around here too. As bad as it may sound, I'm kind of hoping we get some rain from the remnants of the hurricane.

Ya, I agree. We need more rains here too! It's a shame some areas are flooding and OUR areas are drying up.

Cute, cute photo of the deer tracker!!

Thanks for the visit today at my W W

Yes it really is dried up but it still is beautiful. Pretty cool pictures. Is that your son?
Mine's up too.

To answer a few questions...yes, that is my older son in the pictures. Yes, we did find deer tracks all over the place (and even one "bear track" that my son drew in the dirt and tried to convince me was made by a bear- lol), and yes that creek is on our property, although we cannot see it from our house...we have to walk down the trail in our woods to get to it. Most of the creek was completely dried up, this was just one section that actually had a little water in it yesterday.

Wow your own creek?
This city kid is impressed.
Thanks for swinging by my WW.
Take care,

We had a gusher last night...I would have been happy to have sent it your way, but you would have had to take the severe lighting and thunder too!! ;)

Cute youngun' you have, did he find a deer?

Looks like you have a pretty neat back yard. The kind of backyard every little boy loves!

Nice photos,

Is that a giant beaver dam in the first one?
In perspective to the size of your son, that pile is very big! I can imagine the deeper creek water.

Thanks,

I could wish you some of our Seattle rain! I could do without it! Moving here from southern California, the rain is gonna take some getting used to!

i could never live near a creek though.. afraid my boys would drown as they are not afraid of water!

We've had so much rain here during our "monsoon" season. I always think that's funny since we live in a desert. The rain has finally subsided.

Anyway... cool pic and cute little boy.
